About the role
FleetForge is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with practical machine learning experience to help build traffic management systems for motorway operations. You will turn complex traffic data into dependable software and useful AI-supported decisions, working closely with engineers and domain specialists.
What you will do
- Build reliable services, APIs, and data flows for traffic operations.
- Apply ML and AI to analyse traffic patterns and support operational decisions.
- Improve data quality, observability, testing, and safe production delivery.
- Work with product and domain experts to turn real traffic problems into useful software.
What helps you succeed
- Strong professional experience building production software.
- Practical experience with machine learning, AI systems, or model evaluation.
- Confidence with APIs, databases, distributed services, and event-driven or real-time data.
- Strong skills in TypeScript, Node.js, Go, Python, or a similar production language.
- A careful approach to reliability, security, testing, and failure handling.
- Clear communication and the ability to explain technical decisions simply.
